Buying our first house with Diane was a great experience. This was actually our second interaction she previously helped someone in our family purchase their house a couple of years ago, so this was not a surprise. Buying our first home was intimidating, but Diane was calm and reassuring throughout the entire process. She was always accommodating to our busy work schedules and offered to meet us at any time that was convenient for us. We thought we knew what we wanted, but of course this changed a little along the way and Diane was incredibly patient with us. She was very responsive text, email, or phone anytime we had questions and asked to obtain the disclosures to all of the properties we were interested in. Before we started looking at properties, Diane had a meeting with us to figure out what we were looking for, give us advice about how to approach the process, and remind us that we would need to be patient in this crazy housing market. Once we found our house first and only offer! she went above and beyond to figure out what we needed to do in order to get it. Yes, we went above our initial budget, but if Diane hadn't given us a gentle nudge to perfect our offer based on her experienced instinct, we would've been edged out. After the offer was accepted, she professionally orchestrated the escrow process and made sure everyone involved completed their tasks to meet our closing deadline. As if that wasn't enough, she went even further to help us contact the city to determine if we could make certain changes to our property, met with contractors at the house while we were at work, and continued to reinforce that we made the right decision while we were having some post-purchase anxiety. Diane is your ideal agent and we are convinced that her demeanor with the listing agent was the final piece that got us our house. Overall, we couldn't recommend her enough!

Born and raised in the area, Diane’s market knowledge is second to no one. We met Diane in 2014, when we bought our home, she was the listing agent. When it came time to sell the home, we asked Diane for some market advice, as we were unclear as to whether we should rent the property or sell. Diane was helpful and knowledgeable from start to finish. She confirmed that it would be best to offer the property as is at the low end of the assessed value, to give buyers leeway to renovate or rebuild. We had 13 offers after the first open house and closed well above the asking price. Diane is unusually skilled at giving you information (on comparisons, on initial offering price, etc.) while letting you feel that you are the one who decides. She was endlessly generous with her time and energy, managing everything from open houses and random furniture to resettling an orphaned cat. Don't worry about it, was what she said. I was out of town while the property was being shown, but Diane kept me in touch throughout. Her response to questions was very quick, by email or telephone, and her use of Document sign for the endless signatures and approvals meant that everything moved faster. I selected Diane Bucher to sell my house in San Jose, I can't say enough good things about Diane. Assertive not aggressive she listened without judgment to my situation, intuitive not invasive when she arrived to our home for the first appointment she had comparisons, quotes, and suggestions for what to expect and where to do next, preparation not pushiness when things fell through did not become angry or abrupt, compassionate not dismissive when I decided to purchase a home out of the area, I took a chance and asked for her help, responsive not patronizing the recommendation she gave fit my personality and need perfectly. Diane Bucher handled the sale of my parent's house. They are both in their 90s and really needed assistance with the sale. Like all excellent agents, her help extended well beyond the sale.
